Statement

The Vacaville Unified School District serves some 15,000 students coming to us from a suburban community of 91,000 as well as a significant rural area north of the city. A community that places the biggest value on the healthy development of its children, Vacaville enjoys the extraordinary benefits derived from the collaboration of city, school and community organizations joining together to constantly improve the environment in which our children grow up.

In 1998, the Vacaville Unified School District embarked on a strategic planning process to achieve the mission of graduating ALL students with knowledge and ability to make good choices, act responsibly, earn a living and continue learning throughout life. Beginning our third year of implementation, we are seeing the positive impact of completing many strategies and spreading the planning process to our eighteen schools.

This focus and commitment, together with the outstanding talent and dedication of our teaching and support staff, will enable our students to accomplish wondrous things!
