Eligibility Requirements
Awards are given without regard to race, religion or gender. Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
1. You must be a legal resident of Vacaville, Elmira, Dixon, or Fairfield.
2. You must be a CURRENTLY PERFORMING performing artist or group.
3. Your application must state the SPECIFIC PURPOSE for the award.
4. Awards must be used for the stated purpose only.
You may want to include with your application references, demos, or other information you may wish us to consider.
Applications will be reviewed against other entries and the winning award(s) will be given based on the application
(s) felt to best represent the performer(s) needs as compared with VAC’s ability to fund that need. VAC has limited
funds for this purpose, and may elect to select a winner that we can best help given the current funds earmarked
for this purpose.

Vaca Arts Council provides a small number of assistance awards
to qualified performing arts entertainers* through this application
process.
Amount of award is dependent on the discretion of the VAC and
on funds available. Each year, VAC will review applications
received and make a determination as to the winner. Applications
must be received by January 31st, annually.
Awardees will be notified by mail and awards will be given out at
the yearly “Salute to the Stars” Gala in March of each year. No
promise is made as to the exact date an award will be given to an
award winner and may be affected by meeting an gala dates,
board member schedules, etc.
Artists who participate in performing arts in front of an audience
are called performers, including actors, comedians, dancers,
magicians, musicians, and singers.
Performing arts are also supported by workers in related fields,
such as songwriting and stagecraft.
